The holidays give you something most of the year doesn't: time at home, in your kitchen, cooking for family and friends. It's the best research you'll ever do. You'll notice exactly where the bench space runs out, where the traffic jams happen, and what you'd change if you could.

Why Summer Is the Perfect Time to Plan

A great kitchen starts with clear decisions, and summer gives you the space to make them.

Notice how you use your kitchen. Where do people gather? Where do the groceries land? What's always cluttering the bench?

Think about what you'd keep. Some things work well. A good design builds on them.

Start your appliance list. Your oven, cooktop, rangehood, fridge and dishwasher shape the cabinetry around them, so knowing your direction early keeps everything moving.

Collect what you love. Photos, materials, colours and details all help us understand your style.

Bring those notes to your design consultation, and we'll turn them into a kitchen that works the way you live.

How the Timeline Works

A custom kitchen moves faster than most people expect once the key decisions are made.

Design: typically 2 to 4 weeks

We meet with you, understand how you live, look at your space and develop a design that genuinely works for you. The more you've thought about over summer, the faster this goes.

Into production

Your cabinetry goes into production once four things are in place: a finalised design, a site measure, your appliances chosen, and your deposit confirmed.

Cabinetry: 2 to 5 weeks from measure

Your cabinetry is manufactured in our Geebung workshop. Because we make it ourselves, we look after the quality and the timing.

Stone: typically 2 weeks from measure

Your benchtop is measured once the cabinetry is in place, so it fits precisely, then fabricated in around two weeks.

Installation

Your cabinetry is installed, then the benchtop, followed by the finishing trades and appliance connections.

What That Means for 2027

Start your design over summer, lock in your decisions in the new year, and your kitchen can be in production by February. That puts you cooking in your new kitchen by autumn, ready for the cooler months and the year ahead.

Starting early also means you're first in line when the new year begins.
