A custom kitchen doesn't take as long to make as most people think. What takes time is getting to the point where it can be made. Once those decisions are locked in, your cabinetry moves quickly.
What Gets Your Kitchen Into Production
Your cabinetry goes into production as soon as four things are in place:
A finalised design. Layout, materials, colours, handles and details, all approved.
A site measure. Accurate dimensions taken in your home, so every panel fits first time.
Your appliances chosen. Your oven, cooktop, rangehood, fridge and dishwasher sizes shape the cabinetry around them, so they need to be decided before we build.
Financial approval. Your deposit confirms your place in the production schedule.
These four steps are where most kitchens are won or lost on time. The sooner they're done, the sooner your kitchen is made.
How Long Each Stage Takes
Design: typically 2 to 4 weeks
We meet with you, understand how you live, look at your space and develop a design that genuinely works for you. How quickly this moves depends largely on how quickly decisions are made.
Cabinetry: 2 to 5 weeks from measure
Once your design, measure, appliances and deposit are confirmed, your cabinetry is manufactured in our Geebung workshop. Because we make it ourselves, we look after the quality and the timing.
Stone: typically 2 weeks from measure
Your benchtop is measured once the cabinetry is in place, so it fits precisely. Fabrication typically takes around two weeks from that measure.
Installation
Your cabinetry is installed, then the benchtop, followed by the finishing trades and appliance connections.
So, Is Christmas Possible?
If your design is finalised, measured, your appliances are chosen and your deposit is in over the next few weeks, a new kitchen before Christmas is realistic. Leave those decisions until December, and your kitchen moves into the new year.
